However, what astounded everyone was: (1) the obvious and total cooperation of the hostages (2) the deep caring the hostages felt for their captors and (3) the hostage’s rage and contempt for those who rescued them. That the captors capitulated was not a surprise. The five-and-a-half-day siege ended with the hostages and hostage takers holed up in the bank vault.
